A BRAND NEW SEASON FOR ME...

It's been an interesting Autumn for me... one that has held some very unexpected life changes...

Many of you know that I've been working at a preschool for several years, where I've cared for children from infants to four years old. I have LOVED being part of this nurturing community and helping little ones learn in a caring Christian environment!

This fall, however, I've struggled to "stay on top" of home, family, work, & art... and I've finally made the bittersweet decision to leave my job at our sweet preschool. I plan to remain active there as a volunteer... and may even teach some craft classes later in the school year.

The sweet part of this decision is that I'll be working from my home, doing what I LOVE... Creating Art!!  :)  This is, in many ways, a "Leap of Faith" for me, as I am trusting that God has GOOD things for my family & me in this next "season" of my life.

And so... I've "dusted off" my Zazzle shop in recent days, & have had LOTS of FUN giving it a make-over & filling it with CUTE Baby & Kidswear using my original designs. I'm EXCITED about it!... and I hope you will be too!! Please let me know what you think! :)

Dear Patti,
I am moved by your whimsical art that moves the spirit. I am an educator, an exhibiting mixed media artist, and, of course a blogger(www.rossini-malafronte.blogsspot.com)! I like your pieces and want to know if you have cards, stationary blank cards that you sell. I have a shop on Etsy too and I searched but didn't see any. Also, are you familiar with the Sommerset publication "Artful Blogs?" I am intrigued by people who set those incredible sites up! How the Heck do they do it?!? I've become a follower of your blog because I have to keep checking in to see what wonderful art you're making. I would be flattered if you'd check mine out and do the same! Happy Holidays!

One more thing! I checked out the view into your art studio and LOVE LOVE LOVE the table you have in front of the windows (long, white). Please, could you tell me where you found it? It is perfect for my new studio set up. Thank you!

Happy Holidays to YOU, Pam! :)

...and Thank You for your kind comment about my artwork! I am so very glad that you enjoy it!

I do sometimes have blank cards available in my Zazzle shop (tho that shop is always a "work-in-progress"). The address is: http://www.zazzle.com/pholkartblessings*. I hope you can take a peek over there!

I do enjoy reading "Artful Bloggers" from time to time!... Lots of inspiration to be had between those pages! But I most often just try to make my blog my own... I find I am happiest that way! :)

As for the table in my studio... It's an old sideboard I found in a used furniture store almost 30 years ago. I used it as a changing table when my boys were little, & now its' found "new life" housing craft supplies in my studio. I like that it has once again found a creative way to be useful!
